Let us not miss the opportunity

I am very honoured to have this opportunity to join the world of new media with the expectation of, hopefully, making a difference and doing what our dear Saviour, Jesus Christ, had commanded, to “spread the good news”.  This is my attempt to share my thoughts, help others grow in knowledge of what it is to be Christian, a Catholic and a Secular Carmelite, and to learn some things from you along the way.

I have been an avid podcast listener for almost three years.  It was through listening to Catholic content that I experienced a reconversion and grew to charish the Catholic Church and my faith.  When God calls and you actually listen and open that door to Him, watch out because big things happen.  He takes you on a spiritual journey leading straight to Him.  Sometimes He leads you to a place he’s been calling you your whole life.  For me he called me through a great saint, the “Little Flower”, St. Thérèse de Liseaux.  She led me to the Secular Discalced Carmelites.  Carmel introduced me to the value of prayer.

My mission, if I could say a human can have a mission statement, is “to become a great saint and take as many of my brothers and sisters with me as I can.”  How can a very broken, sinful and unworthy servant become a great saint?  I only know that through Christ all things are possible.

As Mother Angelica (founder of EWTN) says, “We are all called to be great saints, don’t miss the opportunity”.
